Piano and strings. Two musical color palettes that just about everyone is familiar with. The challenge for this album was to fully develop and express musical ideas using only the colors of the piano and the string section. The result is minimalist in tone, but still beautifully expressive. Free from having to fight for space with other orchestral sections, each instrument is allowed to enunciate and articulate its message.
